The Heart Behind the Reset: Meet Shimeka

Hi, I’m Shimeka Vereen, and I know exactly what it feels like to stand in the middle of a room, look at the laundry, the dishes, and the toys, and feel like the walls are closing in just a little bit.

I know the weight of the "mental load"—that invisible list of a thousand things that moms carry every single day. I’ve been in that season where you’re so busy taking care of everyone else’s heart and home that you forget to take care of your own.

How Helpers For Her Was Born

Helpers For Her didn’t start in an office; it started from a place of deep empathy. I watched the women in my community—new moms, busy professionals, and overwhelmed grandmothers—trying to "do it all" with a smile, while secretly feeling exhausted.

I realized that what we need isn’t just "help." We need a reset. We need someone to step into our space with a calm energy, without judgment, and handle the small things so we can focus on the big things—like healing, bonding with our babies, and finding our breath again.

My Promise to You

When you invite me and my team into your home, you aren’t just hiring a "concierge" or a "helper." You are inviting in a sisterhood of support.

My goal is to leave your home feeling lighter and your heart feeling fuller. Whether it’s folding that mountain of laundry, organizing the nursery, or simply resetting your kitchen so you can wake up to a fresh start, I am here to remind you: You do not have to do this alone.

I’m so honored to serve the families of Covington, Conyers, and Lithonia, and I can’t wait to help you find your peace again.

With love and support,
Shimeka Vereen

Judgment-Free Support

We’ve all had those weeks where the dishes pile up and the laundry takes over. When we walk through your door, we see a home full of life, not a “mess.” We are here to help, never to judge.

Calm & Peaceful Energy

Motherhood can be loud and chaotic. We strive to be the “calm in the storm,” bringing a grounding, gentle presence into your space so you can truly rest while we work.

The Values That Guide Our Hands

At Helpers For Her, we don't just “clean” or “tidy”—we serve with intention. These are the four pillars that Shimeka and her team bring into every home:

A “Soft Luxury” Experience

We believe that support should feel like a gift. We focus on the small, thoughtful details—like perfectly aligned pillows or a neatly organized nursery—that make your home feel like a sanctuary.

Empowering the “Village”

They say it takes a village, but sometimes that village is hard to find. We are honored to be a part of yours, helping you reclaim your time so you can show up as your best self for your family.

*All Helpers For Her staff are CPR and BLS Certified for your complete peace of mind.
